In this enhanced visual experience, Luigi ventures through the eerie Evershade Valley—a place once at peace under the mysterious Dark Moon. According to the ghost expert Professor E. Gadd, this moon kept the valley’s ghosts calm... until, one fateful night, it shattered without warning!

Now, the valley is overrun with mischievous and troublesome ghosts! It's up to Luigi to track down the missing pieces of the Dark Moon and restore harmony to the land.

Fortunately, Professor E. Gadd has equipped Luigi with the perfect tools to tackle the haunting menace, including the powerful Strobulb to stun ghosts and the Poltergust 5000, a versatile vacuum that can suck up ghosts, objects, and interact with the environment.

Luigi’s ghost-hunting journey will take him through a variety of haunted locations, such as a deserted plant research lab, a dilapidated clock factory, and a freezing, snow-covered mine, among others.
